Story

Jason Lowe (of Equilibrium) along with his friend Mark Dunn, will be taking on Mount Kilimanjaro. They will be climbing Africa's highest peak (5895m) over 7 days, in aid of four amazing charities.

They are paying for the trip out of their own pockets to ensure that all money raised can go directly to their chosen charities. Each penny raised will be matched by The Equilibrium Foundation, meaning for every £1 donated, the charities will receive £2 (or £2.25 if you're eligible for gift aid)

As you can imagine, this trek will be mentally and physically exhausting, but never ones to shy away from a challenge, they will put every ounce of energy into it. To find out more about their amazing challenge, visit this link.

Nightingale House Hospice

Their mission is to provide services for individuals and their families living within North East Wales and the border areas who are living with a diagnosis of a progressive and/or life-limiting illness, delivered when possible in the location of their choice and always within the resources available to Nightingale House Hospice. Following an assessment of physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs, services will be delivered by a multi-disciplinary team, trained and competent to meet the needs of all patients, including those with complex, specialist needs. Find out more here.

Mark lost his father to skin cancer in late 2019. It all happened very quickly. Nightingale house were a great support for him and the family at the time. Then just 2 years later, his Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. His family has lived with the devastation that cancer can bring, but have also experienced the positive outcome that can be achieved. He is happy to say that his mother is recovering well. Research and early diagnosis is the key to the fight against cancer.
